To the Digital World
He nodded his head. “Yeah! Like Gatomon!” He smiled, yeah she seemed nice. “The world I’m from…. I could take ya there if you want.”
“Really?” she replied, eyes widening incredulously. She’d wanted to see that world for quite a while, ever since she’d met the digital feline. And to think, now she would get her chance. “I would enjoy it very much if you took me.”
“Alright! Just follow me!” Veemon said, leading the way. The two eventually made it across to Davis’s apartment. Veemon slowly opened the door, and checked to see if anyone was in. Nope, all clear. He waddled into the room. “Okay! Now…” He swiped Dai’s digivice, and pointed it to the nearby computer. “Digiport open!” He called out. At first nothing happened, but then a beam shot out, and sucked them in.
Shelke trailed along after him, almost mystified by the creature— enough that she didn’t notice she was on a different world. He was a living, breathing entity and yet made completely of data. She found it amazing and at the same time… She couldn’t help but wonder what the world was like that he came from. “Are you sure you will not get in trouble for this?” Shelke asked as she walked into the apartment. The seemingly nine-year-old then yelped in surprise as she was sucked into the computer, only to find herself outdoors again, deposited in a beautiful landscape. “Is this the Digital World?”
“Hmhm!” Veemon said proudly. “Just watch out though… plenty of bad digimon are around here too.” He shrugged, not taking much notice on the topic he had brought up. He marched into the digital trees, leading her into one of the many forests. “Where do ya wanna go?”
“Bad Digimon?” Shelke frowned, dusting herself off as she stood, following after him. “How does a Digimon get into the human world, then? Or… become linked to one?” she continued to inquire, following him. “And where I would like to go… I would like to see the area around us. Learn my surroundings… and I’m sure we can handle anything that attempts to attack us.”
“You know, none of us are really sure how. It’s probably just a whole bunch of technical junk.” Veemon stated. No, he wasn’t the brightest in the group, but who was? Probably Hawkmon or somebody. He continued to lead her down a path in between the trees of the digital forest. They eventually came up to a large lake. “See, Seadramon lives in their… probably best to steer clear.”
